apple pie recipe

step 1

peal 5 or 6 lager green apples and cut them into large slices

Step 2
add 3 cups of plain flour in to large mixing bowl along with 1 table spoon of caster sugger

Step 3

cut 140 grams of butter in to cubes about 2cm by 2cm into the flour and then rub it in your finger tips till it resembles bread crumbs and all the butter is rubbed in to the flour

Step 4

On a medium heat add your apple chunks to a lager pot and add 2 cups of water boil them till they are stewed apples adding 1 teaspoon of cinnamon to them

Step 5

add 2 table spoons of water at a time to the flour mixture you don’t want it too wet and sticky useing you’re hands mix the water in till you have a pastry base

Step 6

Devide the pastry in to 2 balls one slightly lager then the other the bigger one is to cover a buttered up pie dish the smaller is for the top now it’s time to roll theme out makeing sure not to make it 2 flat

Step 7

time to fill the pie with the stewed apples and cinnamon into the pantry make sure not to leķ b ave any gaps and put the lid on the pie useing a knife pearce the top a few times to let out moisture useing a fork push down the top to the bottom pastry all around the top lip of the pie dish lightly coat the top of the pie with caster sugar with the left over pastry you can decorate you’re pie


Bake in the oven at 165c for 45 mins then let it cool before removing from the pie dish make sure the dish was well buttered the pie should slide right out
